In the year 2004 the Organization undertook a major project funded by US Embassy on Conflict Resolution & Monitoring among Belligerent communities; Pokomos, Ormas and Wordei of Tana River Districts in the Tana Delta County, where the rival groups were fighting mainly over access to water and grazing lands for their livestocks. The Organization achieved a lasting solution to the warring communities. After the promulgation of the New Constitution of Kenya the commission is undertaking a conscious step of strategic rethinking to situate itself well in the new and changing Kenya.
